I filmed the trip on two DV cameras, with one clamped on a magic arm to the bar behind the seats in the helicopter, and one hand held.

Sound was recorded by putting a microphone in the earcup of our headsets. Some countries are quite unkeen to be filmed, and in some situations, such as our imprisonment in Pakistan, it was wise to keep the cameras in my bag, but despite this I came back with a lot of material, much of which is yet to be edited into films. Here is a selection of some of my favourites so far.
