Helicopter flying low level along a river

This river is 100s of miles from anywhere in the middle of an uninhabited mangrove swamp, so the usual risk of wires across a river designed to catch out the unwary helicopter pilot flying low level along it, was slightly reduced.

However, my motto is “never assume”, so we had two sets of eyes looking hard.

It was very hot and humid, and we were fairly heavy, so we had to be very careful in the hover to avoid pulling too much pitch.

   Recieved the book, read it and enjoyed it very much. I took a break from the flying to pursue other activities but still like to keep abreast of everything. I think I may pop down to the British Championships this year, so if you are there i’ll say hello. Take Care.
